Curtea De Arges is a great location from which to explore the surrounding countryside. The scenery and architecture and decoration (from monasteries to roadside shrines) is amazing.

The Monastery at Curtea de Arges is one of the most recognisable buildings of Romania and is the burial place of Romanian Kings and Queen. There is also the legend of Manole, its builder ... but ask a local to tell you.
